Taxi in the Crimea The furthest point you can get to by plane or by train towards the South Coast of the Crimea is the city of Simferopol. The resort cities Yalta, Alushta, Alupka and smaller towns and settlements are situated on the South Coast of the Crimea behind the Crimean mountains. The picturesque mountain road runs among the ever-green forests and vineyards, climbs up the Angarsky pass (its altitude is 752 meters above the sea level) and slowly climbs down to the blue sea. The first big city on your way is Alushta. Though it is less famous than Yalta we believe it is not a bit worse for the summer holiday because it is smaller, cosier and has a long coast line with plenty of beaches. In addition the prices in Alushta are more reasonable than in Yalta. The distance from the border of Simferopol to Alushta is 51 km, to Yalta - 79 km, to Alupka - 97 km. The trip from the Simferopol airport adds about 20 km more. That is why the difference in the price. From the Sevastopol railway station the distance to Alupka is 75 km.
